Papers and business records, primarliy 20th century, with Civil War items: funeral invitations to burial services, 1 Feb. 1861, for James C. Pou, and and 10 Oct. 1862, for Robert S. Pou, sons of James and Henrietta Pou. Letter, 29 Nov. 1933, John A. Chase, Jr., Registrar, University of South Carolina, to O.S. Warren, Columbia, S.C., congratulating him on the straight A mid-semester record of his son, [Charles] Otis [Warren]; printed program, 1 Dec. 1940, Elks Memorial Service, Columbia Lodge No. 1190; and printed announcement, 16 Sept. 1941, signed by H.H. Henline, National Secretary, American Institute of Electrical Engineers, advising C.O. Warren that had been "transferred to the grade of Member in the American Institute of Electrical Engineers" at the meeting of the Board of Directors. Also, letter, 21 Mar. 1942, Thomas F. Ball, Lieutenant-Commander, Department of Electrical Engineering, U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md., to C.O. Warren, Westinghouse Electric Supply Company, Columbia, S.C., advising that he apply for an officer's commission in the U.S. Naval Reserve, with attached letter of reference noting that he had taught Warren electrical engineering at the University of South Carolina; gasoline ration card, ca. 1942; V-Mail letter, 1 June 1944, from Cpl. Robert Ariail, responding to news from home; letter, 28 Mar. 1950, Dick Anderson, Executive Secretary, Bam Club, University of South Carolina, to C.O. Warren, re payment of membership dues; commencement program, 2 June 1966, Dreher High School, Columbia, S.C.; and undated typescript poem, "Satan's Message to Hitler," signed by Robert Paul Turberville. Business papers concern Warren's work with WESCO (Westinghouse Electric Supply Company), including letters from company officials William Austin Emerson and J.C. Gross; newsletters, Aug. and Sept. 1947, vol. 1, no. 1-2, "The Carolinian," published monthly at Charlotte in the interest of the Carolinas District No. 17, Westinghouse Electric Supply Company; specimen issues of WESCO World, WESCO's National News-Magazine, June-July 1947 (vol. 8, no. 6-7), May 1950 (vol. 11, no. 5), Jan. 1953 (vol. 14, no. 1); and printed materials re South Carolina Section, American Institute of Electrical Engineers. Other business and legal papers document Warren's operation of S&S Food Service, Columbia; and contracts, mortgages, leases, plats, and correspondence, 1949-1963, re construction of S&S Kwik Shop, at the corner of Main and Blanding in Columbia, S.C., built by George W. Wilson, general contractor.
